WhatsApp Disappears From Windows Store

It’s seems like all is not well with Facebook owned WhatsApp messenger ever since the social media giant acquired it. The company has experienced a lot of issues after the deal and users seems to be not really happy with that. Even though the deal has nothing to do with the unexpected issues that are being raised in WhatsApp, the company is now looking for an end to this.

WhatsApp is now used by more than 500 million active users and is expected to reach the billion mark in quick time. Earlier, it was Facebook which crossed the billion mark users in 2010 and are setting up new records to break.

WhatsApp at the other end, after getting sold to Facebook for $19 billion, has experienced a drastic fall in some countries due to some technical issues and it took a bit of time for the engineers to set things back to normal. And it was unfortunate that nothing of that sort happened with WhatsApp before the deal. Speculations are ‘on’ that WhatsApp might turn out to another Facebook messenger. But Mark Zuckerberg is clearly in a state of mind where he wish to make no such changes as of now to WhatsApp. He let the messenger be the same way as it is and the team will be working on the betterment of the application in the coming years.

But what happened in the late last week is really going to show a significant impact on the WhatsApp messenger. At least there could be a sense of change that its going experience from Windows Phone customers.

WhatsApp messenger for Windows Phone has now been put on hold temporarily. Which means, the famous messenger app has now disappeared from the Windows store for the last few days due to some technical issues and the company is constantly working to get the messenger back on track.

Internal Engineer from Facebook responded on this issue and said,

“due to technical issues, we have chosen to un-publish WhatsApp Messenger on the Windows Phone platform.”

Users who have been using the application will not be experiencing any problems and they can be able to use the application like always, but for people who are looking to download and install it will have to be waiting for the application to be back in the store.

Issues like these will have to be considered serious and there is a possibility that WhatsApp can lose their plot in the application industry if they continue to be in the same way.

Facebook & WhatsApp engineer will have a lot of thinking to do about how to get things back on track, now that the WhatsApp disappears from Windows Store.

I think, Its going to affect their numbers seriously. Don’t you think so?

What if the same issue arises with Android and iOS? It’s surely going to cost them a lot.

So readers, what’s your take on this? Do you think WhatsApp is heading towards the right direction? Considering the recent issues the application has experienced. Do let me know in the comment section.
