Prototypo will let everyone to design their own font in the easiest possible way. Making it easy for the professionals and others who usually tend to spend more time on making their font looks different from what other people use.
Prototypo is an open-source online typeface editor which has included over 20 parameters to modify all built-in glyphs at once. So it’s all about expermenting and working on the results.
Founder speaks,
“When I make a website I can go to a website like Google Fonts … but they’re very basic and I still have to browse,” Prototypo co-founder Louis-Rémi Babé told Mashable. “Instead I could just have a larger list of parameters right on the web page I’m designing.”
In Prototypo its all about exploring, tweaking, comparing and exporting. How cool is that?
The current features of the prototypo include a to z glyphs, svg fonts and pre-defined styles. Also it works on all major web browsers.
Louis, Founder of Prototypo also mentioned in a statement that, software will be available for offline users as well, including to the ones who use tablets the most. But intially they were supposed to setup things right on desktop.
Prototypo 1.0 additional offers includes adjusting the individual letters to make modifications, export different files and a few more. In future, prototypo will be looking forward to introduce the new feature where a user can upload a font of his wish and make modifications. And this must be something so exiciting for the present day designers.
The punctuations, Glyph alternates, split view, independent glyph and serif variations, paragraph preview and a few of them are waiting to make their way to serve you better.
