Lenovo Completes $2.91 Billion Deal with Motorola

With increasing number of acquiring’s happening around for quite sometime, it is interesting to note that Lenovo has completed the $2.91 billion Motorola deal that happened on January 2014. The formal proceedings and all have been done by Lenovo and now owns the rights of Motorola after purchasing the company for $2.91 billion during January this year.
Having seen Facebook and WhatsApp deal. Microsoft and Nokia deal, it is always interesting to see few more deals coming up onto the screen for making technology more better. The situation around is like, a company which holds better edge over the companies that has better vision are more likely to work together for creating better technology.
It has been proved for years now and the same is happening during this decade as well. Some of the best companies had to merge with the top most ones for making their resources stronger and more better. But while in public, it was openly said that, the company which got merged with the bigger ones is often overlooked and be downgraded which is actually not from the company’s point of view.
There may be quite a few troublesome issues before merging up with the bigger and top most ones, but as far as a few companies are concerned, it is for the betterment and a process of giving so much of room to the innovative’s for building up the technology more advance.
One such deal if you ask me would be Lenovo and Motorola deal. $2.91 billion isn’t a small sum. The Motorola mobiles if you have come across now are far better than it’s previous versions. Moto G, Moto X and Moto E have done reasonably well in the market across nations and that is one good way to get back on track.
“In Lenovo we have a partner that shares our mission and that brings global scale, a diverse product portfolio and a track record of seizing strategic opportunities and making the most of them,” Motorola said in a blog post.
“With an impressive portfolio of smartphones, wearables and PCs, our two companies will be uniquely positioned to push the boundaries of choice and value, and bring exciting new experiences to people everywhere.”
With the billion dollar deal, Lenovo now has more than 3500 additional employees working from different corners of the world. And that will indeed be considered as a very positive sign to make the products reach out to as many as possible.
Well, in future, we will have to wait and see how the company’s products are going to be doing in the market.
